FAQ

How do I create an account on the Bittrex Mobile App?

  • First, download the Bittrex App on your mobile’s app store. Open it and then select ‘Create Account’.
  • Enter your email address and a secure password. Your password needs to be at least 8 characters long with characters and symbols for extra security.
  • Next, you’ll need to verify your email by opening your account from the Bittrex app and clicking ‘Verify Email’.
  • Continue setting up your account and entering your personal information. Note that you can only enter Latin (English) characters. Characters and symbols from other languages can’t be processed.
  • Review the terms of service. If you understand and agree to all the conditions and restrictions that come with signing up for a Bittrex account, hit ‘Accept Terms’.
  • You will now have to complete ID verification by selecting an approved ID type and taking a photo of your ID, including the front, back, and a shot of your face. Bittrex will access your phone camera during this time.
  • You will then have the option to enable 2FA to secure your account. Simply copy your code into your preferred authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Enter the 6-digit Authenticator Key on your Bittrex App and select ‘Verify Email’. Your 2FA should now be activated.
  • Your ID should be verified within 5-10 minutes, allowing you to get started funding your account sooner.

How will I fund my Bittrex account using my debit card?

  • To start, click on ‘Holdings’ from the menu bar and slide the ‘Holdings’ card. Click ‘Add funds with card’.
  • Input the amount wanting to be purchased. Be aware of the weekly and monthly limits. (Weekly Limits of USD $10,000 for Visa/Mastercard, Monthly Limits of USD $50,000 for Visa/Mastercard) After that, click ‘Enter card info next’.
  • Enter your credit card billing information. Read and acknowledge the privacy policy statement and terms and conditions for the transaction. When you’re okay with it, click ‘Pay’.
  • After submitting, you may be prompted to a 3DSecure portal for your banking institution. With that, simply follow the prompts to verify the transaction through the 3DSecure portal.
  • Once the transaction is approved, your funds will then be credited to your USD wallet. In the meantime, you can track the status of your deposit under the ‘Deposits’ section of the Holdings page.

Is Bittrex FDIC insured?

No. Bittrex isn’t FDIC insured and it isn’t regulated under US securities laws.
