Types of Allianz Car Insurance Policies NZ - Quotes, Interest Rates

Comprehensive car insurance

This is Allianz’s full cover policy, which provides coverage for damages caused to another’s car or property and your own vehicle. They even offer legal liability protection if you’re using a substitute vehicle while your car is being repaired.

Third-party car insurance

Third party car insurance only covers accidental damages to other people’s property. It won’t cover damages sustained by your vehicle.
 

Third-party, fire and theft car insurance

This covers you for legal liability of up to $1 million for damages to other people’s automobile and property. This also covers the perils of fire and theft, paying up to the market value or the sum insured depending on which costs less.

Allianz Rental Car Insurance

You’ll need to check in with their travel insurance policy for this but Allianz also offers rental car insurance for protection while driving abroad. While you may not need all the coverage when travelling with a rental car, it’s recommended to always get the collision damage waiver, which will cover you in case the rental vehicle was damaged or stolen.
