Pulse Low User Plan
A low user is someone who uses less than 8000Kwh per year (or 9000Kwh if you live in the bottom half of the South Island). 8000Kwh is the average that a 2 person household will use in a year. On a low user Pulse Energy plan, you’ll be charged less per day you’re connected to the national grid, but more per unit of electricity you use.
Pulse Standard User Plan
If you use more than 8000Kwh (or 9000Kwh if you live in the bottom half of the South Island) per year, then you’ll be best suited to the Pulse Standard user plan. The standard user plan is generally for households with more than two occupants. However, if you only use the property during certain times of the year, or you are very efficient with electricity, then maybe you’ll be best on the low user plan. You can compare energy prices between the standard and low user plans on the Pulse Energy website.
