Tesla 3 and Tesla S models are both known for delivering supreme experience. Being among the most sought out EVs on the market, the Teslas are prized for being the safest cars in their class. Not to mention that they are cost-effective, being capable of recharging from 120V, 240V and 480V outlets. Tesla 3 is smaller than Tesla S and also cheaper.

Further out, Tesla 3 features automatic emergency braking and collision avoidance, 60/40 split folding rear seats, electronic stability and traction control, and eight airbags. On top of safety, Tesla 3 also delivers smart navigation. Being equipped with a 15″ touchscreen onboard maps and navigation with Wi-Fi and LTE internet connectivity and voice activated controls, Tesla 3 makes sure you are always on the right track. The Model 3 seats five people.
As for Tesla S, it features a four-bar linkage hatchback rear trunk and flat folding rear seats. It has more trunk space than any other sedan and most SUVs. It can carry up to seven people and delivers 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, outperforming by far all sports cars in its class.
As for Tesla model 3 news, the first question popping to everyone’s mind is “will Tesla be able to meet the demand in a timely manner?” Tesla 3 is set to get into production in late 2017 and ca. 300,000 potential buyers have already placed a $1,000 deposit. This only within a week after the unveiling of the new Tesla model. Impressive, to say the least, especially if we keep in mind that these people had never seen the model prior to placing the deposits.
Many think that Tesla won’t be able to meet the demand, the assumption based, for the most part, on the manufacturer’s record. Still, the Model 3 reveal (April 2016) was a triumph, to put it mildly, with the audience (including Tesla owners and potential buyers to have already placed their deposits) cheering the new model all the way, and loudly at that.
Social Capital founder Chamath Palihapitiya thinks that the Model 3 will dominate the market, and not only the EV category, but the midsize car one as well. Palihapitiya believes that “people are fundamentally misunderstanding the demand of the Model 3” and that the BMW 3-Series will suffer a bitter defeat.
“There is not a single person of right, sound mind and body, if you could build a Tesla Model 3 online and get it delivered in 30, 60, 90 days, or you have the choice of buying the BMW 3-Series will choose the BMW,” Palihapitiya said.
To raise the bet, Tesla has updated its dedicated Tesla Motors app to include support for the Model 3. Tesla’s app offers numerous features, notably voice control (the car can be “summoned” if Autopilot is used), tracking of the car’s location, the ability to lock or unlock the EV, and the ability to control the ventilation system. One huge benefit is that the app allows the owner to remotely check on/change the charging status.
Further on, the Model 3 will be able to use Tesla's Supercharger network at no cost. The Supercharger network is, in case you didn’t know, unique to Tesla. The manufacturer has claimed that Superchargers will double by the end of 2017.

As you can see, Tesla 3 redefines the term “innovation” in more ways than one.
In case a Supercharger is not around, you may recharge your EV at any Z station. EVs are as cost-effective as they are eco-friendly. And they are only the first step in maintaining a sustainable, low-cost energy future.
E.g., reducing your electricity bills might be the next logical choice. The goal may be obtained in two ways: getting a low-user plan or installing a smartmeter NZ. There is the total of 35 electricity suppliers nationwide, so switching to a more beneficial one usually doesn’t pose a problem.
Compare energy providers at Glimp today to see the offer at a glance.
A smartmeter NZ helps you keep track of the amount of electricity you are using. To top it off, you are only charged for the power you have used (unlike with analogue meters, that see you charged on a monthly estimate based on your previous consumption record).
With an EV and a smart meter, you will be able to reduce your costs significantly and go green at the same time.
Pre-ordering a Tesla 3 is best done through the manufacturer. Once out and about, the car will be available through EV dealers nationwide – from NZ Electric Vehicles to Plugn Drive NZ. Search Glimp for the full list of EV retailers in New Zealand with ease. New and used cars available.
