Prices vary for every time of year (ranging from $30 to $60 per day). Renting during the off-season is the best time to get a good deal. Rates are usually higher during the summer season, which runs from December to March.

Where can I park my campervan in NZ?

Parking of campervans is permitted in National Parks managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC). There are currently 168 DOC campsites where you can park your van. There are also holiday parks where you can stop over, but they are usually more expensive than DOC campsites.

Can I park my campervan on another person’s property?

Try Park Over Property if you're looking for something a little different (POP). There are about 2,000 privately owned properties where self-contained campervans can stay for a small fee. These properties, including farms, businesses, historic sites, and golf clubs, are registered with The New Zealand Motor Caravan Association.
