If you have been to our website before and used our broadband comparison service, then you know, that we ask you for your home address. And if you haven’t, you should do compare broadband now and see if you are getting the best deal.

We ask for your address to find out what your location is, so then we can accurately say what broadband technology is available at your address. Without the address (search) service, known as AddressFinder, we wouldn’t be able to do that. As a result, we thought it would be great for us to cover AddressFinder and the team behind it. 

AddressFinder - The Team

AddressFinder is created by a local New Zealand company - Abletech. Abletech has an excellent track record and a long history of providing addressing services, which they do both in New Zealand and in Australia: Addressfinder. AddressFinder - The Search

As we mentioned before we use AddressFinder to perform our address searches, so what is AddressFinder? If we were to summarise it in one line, we should say it is the easiest and fastest way for us to get your address in New Zealand accurately. But wait, there is more!

The data is regularly updated so it's not out-of-date. Also, it's very easy to get AddressFinder going. 

Abletech use a 'fuzzy search’ when looking for your address, which means it's constantly checking the typing and correcting it - suggesting exactly what's needed. How cool is that?

This is especially useful when you are trying to type on a mobile as it allows typos, spelling mistakes and even incorrect suburbs. It also requires very little typing, as you will see a selection of address from a drop-down list. As a result, this makes the process of finding a better broadband plan on glimp.co.nz a pleasurable experience. 

Unlike other tools available, AddressFinder will only return addresses that exist. Other tools have to 'best guess' an address that you are trying to get. This might be ok for general mapping but it isn't accurate enough for what we are trying to achieve at glimp - get most accurate information for our customers to help them find the best broadband deals that suit their needs.
